ESSENTIAL OILS

One of the students had some essential oils with her and was invited to apply some of the oils to the boxer. Within only a few minutes, the boxer was like a new dog. He laid down, gave out a big sigh, and was extremely calm for the remainder of the class. He was then ready to connect with everyone and tell his story……as you can imagine the entire workshop was amazed at the quick transformation.

“Having flown from Switzerland to California for Carol’s Comprehensive Training Program, I seemed to be unable to shake off my heavy headache and a general feeling of fatigue for several days. Nothing seemed to help, not even taking my usual medicine which normally worked just fine.

To prepare for a special animal communication assignment taking place the next day I applied ‘Valor’ to my wrists, expecting the effect of feeling more self-confident. I was very surprised to realize after about thirty minutes that my headache was completely gone! I also felt much less tired.

Needless to say that my special assignment the next day went very well for me. I did prepare in the same way and felt not only confident but invigorated as well.

I will certainly use ‘Valor’ when I need confidence in myself, but also as a remedy when feeling tired and to ease my headaches. And there is something else I like about the oil: Its wonderful smell!”

Recently, I had the opportunity to experience first hand how Young Living Essential Oils can improve a person's sense of well being.
 
In January I attended level 3 of Carol’s Certification Training Program.  As part of our training to become certified Animal Communicators, we are required to go on two field trips. During each field trip we communicate with three different animals, and then receive an evaluation from the animal's caregiver. As a beginner in the field of animal communication this can be exciting, and at the same time quite intimidating.

I remember sitting in Carol's living room listening to her as she explained to our group step by step what to expect at each location. Not only would we be communicating with the animals, and receiving evaluations, but we also had a limited amount of time to complete each session. As it got closer to the day of the field trip I began to experience some anxiety.
 
On the morning of the field trip I had an enormous amount of stress. I wasn't sure how I was going to get through the day. I considered backing out, but I had devoted so much time and energy into learning how to communicate with animals that I decided I would give it a try. 

By the time I arrived at Carol's house I could feel the tension in my body begin to increase. I began to feel anxious, my hands began to sweat, and I had an upset stomach. I didn't think I would be able to concentrate during the animal communications.
 
Several of us mentioned that we were experiencing stress, so Carol recommended that we try some of the Young Living Essential Oils. At that point I had nothing to lose, so I applied a dab of Valor onto my wrist. I was amazed at the results. I immediately began to relax. By the time we arrived at the ranch I felt much better. The tension in my body had disappeared. During the communications I was able to focus, and I had much more confidence. The day turned out to be a very positive experience. I felt like the oil was the leading factor in changing both my physical and emotional state.
 
I am looking forward to using the Young Living Essential Oils in my daily life, as well as learning how they can provide a sense of well being for all animals.

I have a pet-sitting service and often deal with dogs that suffer from separation anxiety when their people go away.  Recently I was taking care of a beagle whose person was extremely anxious about leaving.  Their last experience with a pet-sitter did not go well and the person had not left town since then (it was over 3 years ago).  I met with her and the dog 3 times before they left.  Perry barked at me the whole time.  I could tell he was just reacting to the person’s anxiety.  On the first day, Perry stayed 10-15 feet away from me and would not come in the house while I was there.  As soon as I arrived, he ran out the doggie door.  I finally had to chase him into the house at night.  He hid in the closet the first night.  On day two, he was slightly better, but he could not even be enticed into the house with El Pollo Loco chicken.  Finally later that day I tried running around the yard with him in a playful way.  He got close enough to me so I could grab his collar.  I had rubbed some Peace and Calming oil on my hands prior to the game of tag so once I had a hold of Perry, I let him smell the oil on my hands and when he seemed to accept the smell, I rubbed my hand down his spine and then on his chest.  I walked him into the house and closed the doggie door.  I fed him his supper and then he hopped up on the couch and fell into a deep sleep.  When he woke up, he came right over to me and gave me kisses!  The rest of the pet-sitting job went great with no further problems.

CAUTION! Use of essential Oils in Cats and Birds

Essential Oils containing phenols and benzyl alcohols are highly toxic to cats. Cats do not have the enzyme to metabolize the oils that contain these compounds. Phenols and benzyl alcohols are water soluble and can be absorbed into a cat's system, causing serious liver damage. Essential oils that do not contain phenols or benzyl alcohols can be used with cats however dilution of essential oils is always necessary when applying to cats.

It is important to know the chemical compound of the essential oil before use with cats. Essential oils containing hydrosols are safe to use with cats as hydrosol properties can be appropriately processed through the cat's liver.
